As a printer located in MONACO, I was, in 1988 unable to find my conventional tools in Desktop Publishing, I worked more than two years to achieve an Automatic Color Correction technlology for digital images based on histogram analysis.
I completed a Color Separation System based on a statistical method to achieve a strong Ink Saving without any compromise on color matching.
In 1992, I decided not to keep my technologies for my personal use anymore, but to let my colleagues take advantage of it as well. I started marketing the brand Binuscan which is a combination of my name Binucci and scanner.
In 1992, I was the very first in the word to offer that kind of technology. I couldn't imagine that binuscan would last long and I thought all big players would have got what I did, but it was so out of standards that it didn't happen.
Following from 1994, Kodak, Umax, Polaroid and Sinar came to propose me a world wide agreement to integrate our technologies to their products as a bundle. The purpose was Automatic Color Correction and Separation for images.
But later on, as soon as I started processing the whole page, the success in the Newspaper and Magazine industry was astonishing and despite the appearance of numerous "me too" competitors our superior quality still made the difference.
